Hey there! I’m Nicole J. Pleasure to meet you! I am an educator of Loc'd, Loose Natural hair, and Licensed Cosmetologist, who has been thriving in the industry for over 25 years. Starting out as an at home Braid Tech, I have evolved to an in-salon Master Braider, Certified Natural Hair Specialist & Loctician. My career propelled as I earned the position as Salon Manager of an Award-winning Natural Hair Salon that was orchestrated under my educational direction. I later went on to become the owner of my own click and mortar salon and freelance educational space for all things wellness, A Distinct Image in Virginia Beach, Va.

Over time in my career, I have been blessed to have hosted countless trainings, women's conferences and hair shows nationally. My passion is in education and community service, especially in areas of underprivileged youth. I have dedicated hundreds of hours to my community at local elementary, middle and high school’s vocational centers. I believe it is a gift that I have been able to connect, teach and grow each student from the classroom to a professional setting.

Outside of the salon, I enjoy live music, the sun, intentional human interactions with beautiful people, herbs and all things wellness.
